Trade name for a system of initiation of quarry blasts in which the detonator is electrically isolated from outside influences by coupling it, through its own transformer, to a special exploder which provides a high-frequency supply of approximately 15,000Hz. The system offers protection against: dc power sources, normal ac power sources, static electricity hazards, electromagnetic radiation and current leakage.
