Where can I find out about aggregate recycling (C&D waste) across Europe / World

les.andrews asked the following:

I recently took our draft Aggregates Recycling DPD to County Council Members for approval to publish and consult. I was asked if Surrey was a 'World Class' aggregates recycler. I was able to convince the Members we are doing well but after the meeting I have been unable to found out how well other countries are doing in this field. Can you signpost me to a source please? Thank you.
The best source of information about all things recycled is WRAP - the Waste and Recycling Action Programme, based in Banbury. WRAP are funded by Government. Their website - aggregain.org.uk - is extensive. Ring them if you are still struggling. The Minerals Products Association (MPA) - previously QPA - also hold data about recycling, but I do not know if they have data from outside the UK. I do know that the UK compares favourably with most of Europe. It gets a bit tricky to provide answers for an individual county because of 'cross border' trading, particularly as you are so close to London.
